Each Nuschel Burp Cloth arrives perfectly flat ironed. When they are washed and dried, they will take on a wrinkled look that is very trendy right now. To get the flat texture again, simply steam iron the Nuschel after washing and drying it.

The Nuschel Burp Clothes come in 16 different colors to match all of your baby’s outfits. Each Nuschel can also be personalized. You can choose between 37 designs, quotes, or 7 monogram styles.

Assorted Nuschel ™ Sets

I have used these Nuschel Burp Cloths as a burp cloth, dribble wipe, scarf/bib, and a headband for Avery. She wasn’t crazy about using it as a headband, but I liked it as a scarf. Since she has been teething, Avery has been drooling all over the place. The Nuschel helps to keep her clothes dry, and her face wiped up.

Dove Quench Absolute Review #LoveYourCurls

I have partnered with Chatterbox to share this #Sponsored Dove Quench Absolute review. All opinions are 100% my own. I was sent a full sized bottle of Shampoo, Condition and Supreme Creme Serum in exchange for an unbiased review.
Dove - in bath

Walmart and Dove are partnering in the #LoveYourCurls campaign to encourage girls to learn how to love their locks and build self confidence. Both of my older two daughters have curly/wavy hair. Madison (age 10) is particularly self conscious about her hair. She didn’t even want me to post pictures about her for this review. She is never satisfied with how her hair looks.

Dove - Caroline in Tub

I was able to wash and style Caroline’s hair with the Dove Quench Absolute products. They smelled pleasant and were really thick when using on her hair. I like that because it reassures me that these products are not watered down. He hair was extremely easy to brush out. I added the Supreme Crème Serum after brushing it out. I allowed her hair to air dry and checked out the results. I was impressed with how soft and moisturized her locks were, and didn’t feel weighed down either! It made her hair so shiny, without being oily. Caroline also loved how soft these products left her hair! She couldn’t stop running her fingers through it.

I can’t wait to use these products in my own hair. Maybe being moisturized, my hair may stop falling out so fast!

Red Barron Brick Oven Pizza Review

As a member of BzzAgent, I was sent a coupon to try the Red Barron Brick Oven Pizza in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

DSC_0656

As a busy mom of three kids, we stay on the go. As you can imagine, I am always relieved to have a quick and easy dinner. I love the nights that we just pop in a frozen pizza! I was a little excited when BzzAgent sent me the email to try this pizza. Our grocery store only offer two options for the Red Barron Brick Oven pizza: Cheese and Pepperoni. We opted for the pepperoni.

The directions instructed us to place the pizza directly on the oven rack. I was nervous about making a mess when trying to take it back out of the oven, but I didn’t have any trouble at all.  My kids really liked the taste. This pizza is perfect for those that don’t like a lot of pizza sauce. There is just enough to taste it, but definitely on the lighter side.

DSC_0657

The best part of this pizza is the crust. I thought that it was perfectly crisp and tasted great! Normally, my kids do not eat the crust of their pizza, but when they brought their plates to the dishwasher, I noticed that the whole pizza was gobbled up, including the crust! It wasn’t that I didn’t serve them enough. I cut the pizza into 8 slices, I had 2 pieces and a salad. My 7 year old had 2 pieces and a salad, and my 10 year old daughter had 4 pieces!!! (And still wanted more!

)DSC_0658

The only complaint that I had about this pizza is that there wasn’t enough cheese. I love a good pizza with melty cheese on top. This pizza didn’t measure up in that department.

My local Kroger had these pizzas on sale for $2.78. I gave out two coupons for $1.00 off. That makes for a great price when the sale price is paired with the coupon! These pizzas will go on our grocery list for pizza night from now on.

Your Little Loves Dress Review + #Giveaway

DSC_0648

I’d like to introduce you to Julie, the artist behind the Your Little Loves shop on Etsy. She is a sahm to two young kiddos. She began by making unique clothes for her daughter and decided to turn her hobby into a business in October 2013.

Julie loves what she does and puts so much effort into making her customers feel special. As you all may know, I am a chevron FANATIC! I absolutely love the packaging that Julie used to send me Avery’s dress!

DSC_0649

I had such a hard time choosing which item I wanted to review! I told Julie what I liked and told her to surprise me. She sent me the red and white chevron peasant dress. I absolutely love it! It looks so adorable on Avery. Lady A is wearing 3-6 month clothes right now, so I ordered the 6-12 months dress so that Avery would be able to get a good bit of wear out of it. I am glad that I did! I think the dress fits just fine, it is just a little bit big in the elastic neckline. It will be so cute this fall with a pair of leggings underneath!

DSC_0638 DSC_0636

Since all items are handmade, I wanted to inspect the stitching of this dress closely. I feel like this dress was well constructed. The bottom seam of the dress was tucked under and sewn nicely, as well as the interior seams for the arms. I only found one imperfection where there was a lose thread on the ruffles on the chest. This was not even a big deal, it was just where the bottom thread didn’t catch the top thread when sewing the ruffles on.

DSC_0647 DSC_0646

Most of Avery’s wardrobe is comprised of hand-me-downs. I am always so excited when I get to review items like this to spruce up her wardrobe with such adorable pieces!

DSC_0641

I hope that you will head over to the Your Little Loves Etsy Shop to find your children some cute handmade outfits! You can find peasant dresses, pillowcase dresses, leggings, necklaces, headbands, ruffle pants and more. These all have several sizes, patterns and colors to choose from. I will definitely be heading back over to grab the other dress that I was debating on, and maybe even a pair of leggings or ruffle pants too! You can find Julie on Twitter as well @yourlittleloves.

I received this dress at no charge in exchange for my honest opinion. All comments are 100% my own. My opinions were not influenced by receiving this product.

And now for the fun part… One of my readers is going to be able to choose an item from Julie’s Your Little Loves Etsy Store!

Beech-Nut Organic Review + Giveaway

I have teamed up with Beech-Nut, who provided me with the products pictured below for free in exchange for an honest unbiased review. All opinions and comments are 100% my own.

As Avery was approaching the 4 month old mark, I began to research what solid foods that we should start with first. I have done things completely different with Avery than I did with Madison and Caroline. Both of my older girls were on formula and cereal by the time they were 3 months old. Up until now, Avery has been exclusively breastfed. I introduced Avery to cereal last week. I mixed it extremely thin so that she could get the hang of how to manipulate it in her mouth and swallow it. I am so excited to see her reaction to new flavors. Avery and I have partnered with Beech-Nut to explore their organic line of new tastes for her. I have always had an extremely high opinion of Beech-Nut. Their company has been producing quality baby food since 1931. They also recently earned the 2015 Product of the Year in the baby food category.

BeechNut - new in package

Beech-Nut sent me a case of each of the following flavors: Just Carrots; Just Apple, Raspberry and Avocado; Just Peas and Spinach; and Just Butternut Squash and Sweet Corn.

BeechNut - All Baby Food

Avery started with the Just Apples, Raspberries and Avocado. Her facial expressions were so amusing as she tried to figure out what the new flavors were. (You should always introduce one new taste at a time to make sure that your baby does have any allergic reactions.) Choosing Beech-Nut Organic is a fantastic place to start because I know that Avery is getting the very best quality of fresh foods.

Beech-Nut’s new organic line of baby foods emphasize bright colors, bold flavors and textures that are packaged in their cut honeypot glass jars. I love that there are no additives. Babies get the best quality because there are no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Their hues are so vibrant! The color and aromas are true to the fruits and vegetables that they come from. It is real food for babies, just like mom makes at home. This line of organic baby food is the closest thing that you can get to homemade. Beech-Nut uses the same gentle cooking process as the rest of their product line, without adding excess water or cooking the nutrients away. Beech-Nut wants all parents to know exactly what their babies are eating, so they are now the only baby food company that shares their recipes with their customers on their website.

Quiseen BBQ Grill Mat – Product Review

I received the Quiseen BBQ Grill Mats (set of 2) for free or a significantly discounted price in order to provide an unbiased opinion. All thoughts and comments are 100 % my own.

During the Summer months, we entertain in our home ALOT! My husband loves to cook on the grill… Okay, not exactly the cooking part, but the idea of it. You know the drill – the wife goes grocery shopping, unpacks the groceries, opens the package of meat, seasons and marinades the meat, puts the meat and vegetables on a platter, and hands the platter to the husband (along with a clean platter for the cooked meat); the husband turns the grill on and places the meat on the grill. All the men proceed to stand around talking and speculating on when to flip the items on the grill. When the group arrives at the decision that the food is ingestible, the man brings the food in and asks if everything else is ready. As we all enjoy our feast the grill-master is congratulated on how great everything tastes (and the kitchen queen goes on to do all the cleaning.

DSC_0308

One of the biggest problems in our house is that my husband doesn’t think it is necessary to clean the grill regularly. His concept is that the germs and remnants of our last cookout will just burn off. While this is a novel idea, I on the other hand like a clean cooking surface, but I also hate cleaning the grill.

DSC_0310

The Quiseen BBQ Grill Mat has come to our rescue! This mat is amazing! Simply lay out the mat on top of the grilling surface and place your food on top. You can also use this mat in the over as well to prevent spills from messing up your oven. This mat prevents food from falling through the grill slats, and even leaves the grill marks on your food even though it never even touches the grates.

DSC_0311

Each mat measures 15.75 x 13 inches and its surface is nonstick, which is one of my favorite details. The food doesn’t get stuck to the grill, which is the cause of pieces of food being left behind. Also my food cooks in its own juices, causing the meat to be tender and not dried out.

DSC_0309

You can cook almost anything on this mat without it falling through the slats. It is great for meats, poultry, fish and vegetables. We had a great experience cooking pork chops on our grill using the mats.

Clean up is so easy! Simply take the mat off the grill, and wash it in the dishwasher or I just dunked it in some hot soapy water with a little scrub and let is air dry on the divider in my sink. And my grill is clean and ready for its next cookout!

Grill mat - soakingGrill mat - scrubGrill mat - drying

The material that it is made out of can be cut, if desired. You may want a smaller section of the grill for open flame, or you may want to cut the mat for use with individual pieces; because of this, be careful with metal utensils if you do not wish to cut your mat.

Also, these mats should not be used on an open flame. You should be fine using a gas grill, but it you are using charcoal, be sure that the flames have burned down and you only use the mat with the smoking coals.

You can find the Quiseen BBQ Grill Mats at AMAZON.COM by CLICKING HERE.

How often do you cook outdoors? Have you used grilling mats before? What are your favorite foods to put on the grill?

HALO Sleepsack Review + Giveaway

I am using the HALO SleepSack for my youngest daughter. I used a similar swaddle blanket for my second daughter, but it doesn’t come close to matching the qualities of the HALO SleepSack. Avery loves her SleepSack. She knows that when we bathe and change her clothes/diaper and then put her SleepSack on that it is time for bed. It is a good indication to wind down. After we nurse, it is time for bed.

Avery - Halo Hospital

SleepSacks provide a safe and comfortable environment for your baby. HALO Innovations is dedicated to putting the health, safety and well-being of babies first and foremost. When I first had Avery in February, our hospital had transitioned to using the HALO Safer Way To Sleep program, so every baby was swaddled in the HALO Sleepsack Swaddle. In 2008 when I had our middle daughter, Caroline, the hospital was still using bulky blankets to swaddle the babies. In fact, over 1,300 hospitals use HALO SleepSack wearable blankets through the HALO Safer Way To Sleep Initiative. The HALO family of products, including HALO SleepSacks, SleepSack Swaddles, and SwaddleSure, help children from newborn to toddler age sleep better and safer.

Swaddling can help soothe a crying or fussy baby and even helped Avery sleep longer when I first brought her home from the hospital. She didn’t jump and startle when she was securely bundled. Another added perk was that she didn’t scratch her face because her arms were positioned inside the flaps.

Babies cannot regulate their body temperature in the same way that adults do. The fabrics used by HALO help to keep your baby warm, and by having arm holes keeps your baby from overhearing as well.

HALO SleepSacks have some new designs for the Spring – and they are SO CUTE! My favorite has got to be the HALO Cupcakes. I think the SleepSack Swaddles are a great start for any baby. They are great for giving your baby the feeling of being back in the womb – which helps them to sleep better. They are not only super soft, but they are easy to use. Just put them over your baby’s regular sleepwear to take the place of loose blankets. I love that HALO SleepSacks unzip from the bottom allowing baby to stay swaddled for easy diaper changes. Their sleeveless design reduces the risk of overhearing and the remainder of the sack has plenty of room for kicking, without being kicked off, so that your baby will stay warm throughout the night. With the SleepSack Swaddle you can wrap your baby with arms in or out – whichever your baby prefers.

Avery - Halo - Swaddle                          Avery - Halo - one arm                        Avery - Halo in Bassinette

This is a great feature for transitioning your baby from swaddling into a regular HALO SleepSack. Purchase your HALO SleepSack and SleepSack Swaddle new prints at Amazon.com, www.babiesrus.com, or  www.HALOsleep.com.

Below are some Safe Sleep Tips right from HALO themselves:

ALWAYS:

  • Place baby to sleep on his or her back at naptime and at night time.
  • Use a crib, bassinette or co-sleeper that meets current safety standards with a firm mattress that fits snugly and is covered with only a tight-fitting crib sheet.
  • Remove all soft bedding and toys from your baby’s sleep area (this includes loose blankets, bumpers, pillows and positioners). The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests using a wearable blanket instead of loose blankets to keep your baby warm.
  • Offer a pacifier when putting baby to sleep. If breastfeeding, introduce a pacifier after one month or after breastfeeding has been well established.
  • Breastfeed, if possible, but when finished, put your baby back to sleep in his or her separate safe sleep area alongside your bed.
  • Room share, but don’t bed share. Bed sharing can put a child at risk of suffocation.

NEVER:

  • Never put your baby to sleep on any soft surface (adult beds, sofas, chairs, water beds, quilts, sheep skins, etc.)
  • Never dress your baby too warmly for sleep; keep room temperature 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Never allow anyone to smoke around your baby or take your baby into a room or car where someone has recently smoked.
  • Never use wedges or positioners to prop your baby up or keep her on her back.

Have you ever used a HALO SleepSack? If so, what is your favorite feature?
